I like this band

Sucklechimp

I feel like this band never gets a fair shake. People always compare them to other bands and call it repetitive, bland, whatever. I like this almost as much as Know By Heart. This band sounds a lot like NEU! and maybe people who think this band sucks need to check them out for a reference point.

their best i reckon!

gavinscope

track 2 is on par with 'cool kids' from set free, i can hear this again and again. The rest of the album flows nicely, no filler. Holds the test of time more than their others.

Weak album overall... but>>>

Groobs

<<< Hard to find is easily their best song - in my humble opinion of course. It bookended one of the props BMX videos and FIT SO WELL. Check it out.

TSAC

EGM

Reminds me of The Sea and Cake (which is a good thing). So, if you like The Sea and Cake, you may like AAS.

no a good starting point

ChicagoAtlas

as much as I love AmAnSet, this is their weakest album. "know by heart" is great and "Hatist" is good but the rest of this album is an uninspired rehash of their trademark sound. If you're obsessed with them, download away. Otherwise check out their other album currently one eMusic.

worth a listen

jfalstaff

This cuts a broader swath musically than AAS's earlier release "Know By Heart" but seems a bit less focused as a consequence. And a bit less original, with what sounds like chops lifted from Broken Social Scene (or is it that shoe gaze is just a limited genre?). Whatever, I liked it and downloaded a few of the tracks.
