light years beyond previous releases
I'm not sure who The Noheads are, nor can I be sure what their contributions to this album entail. What I am sure of is that CoS and The Noheads, combined, are a power to be reckoned with. Previous CoS releases barely escaped their performance art roots, which didn't always make for great listening. That is not the case here. Lyrically and musically, this recording still has strong ties to performance art, but it can also exist solely as ear candy. In particular, I've found myself putting a playlist of "Culture Vultuer Part II", "Ten Thousand Years" and "Is Bigger Better" on repeat for hours at a time.
