It's ok
but not great, especially compared to the follow up(?) " 3 am, in beats we trust". I found out about the band through that album being played relentlessly on KCRW and seeing them at the SAnta Monica pier, and while that album was a true fusion of electronica and Colombian music, this one has less of the former and much more of the latter. The problem is that as such it is not even a great salsa/cumbia album and it is certainly not a real fusion album either.
Worth your pennies
Ay! Such rhythm and such music! Lovely stuff. A remarkable and original mix of electronic and Colombian music. Everything by these guys (3 albums at time of writing) is worth your time, attention, pennies and your best dance moves!
