Beauty Will Save Us If We Let It
Not being a writer I just need to say that this band reminds me of the Tragically Hip, which in my mind, makes this band a nice new addition to my Library.

Everything here is pretty vanilla. Still, good songwriting and lyrics, mucisicanship etc. I don't see the comparison to the Mountain Goats at all, this stuff is a little more organized and produced. It seems if these guys (girls too?) would pick up the pace a little and take a few chances they'd accomplish alot more. All that said, it's still a decent listen at a relatively young band with lots of ideas that may become more down the line.

Great Stuff. The delivery reminds me of Clem Snide.(Thats a good thing.) Not quite as quirky or humerous,but more rocking than Clem. This also reminds me of the Tragically Hip. Smart free download offer b/c I'm sure I will buy some of their stuff later!
so whiney
All the songs are free and I still don't want them. The vocals are so whiney and the songs are so uninspired. Literally can't be given away.
good attempt
...but come on folks, the Weakerthans called and wanted their sound back. Very Canadian of these guys. But hey at least it's not a rip off of the Fall Out Boys. Thank the rock gods for that.
Indie Rock Grown Up
This album is a lot less folky and rocks harder than the emusic 30-second clips would lead you to believe. Most of the songs take a little while to find their groove, but once you give them a chance, you find that there's quite a bit here musically speaking--great melodic adult indie rock. Try "Lord Stop The Bar", "Duet", and if the second half of "OYBAT" doesn't have you bobbing your head and jamming on your air guitar, than I don't know what to tell you. Hell, download the whole album; it's free!

easily the biggest load of try-hard rubbish i've ever heard. thank goodness it was free or i'd of been even more pissed off.
normally exceptionally good
It is just fine. Nothing overwhelmingly or overtly great or breakthroughy. It is nice to listen to, feels good in your ears and in the middle of your head. It is worth space saved on your hard drive.
