Haitink: un grande direttore!

Flavio

Bravo Maestro! great performance

9th is one of my favorite pieces. I have It also with Karajan, Marriner and other magnificent conductors... this one by Haitink belongs among them.... Bravo Maestro!!!

I thought I hated Beethoven.

MusicalMummy

I was pretty certain that Beethoven was one of my least favourite composers and the only reason for listening to this piece was because I went to college with Karen and I wanted to hear her sing. But as soon as I downloaded it and started listening I was hooked. Haitink has brought this piece to life for me, all the little nuances that I never heard before. A must for any music lovers collection.

This is a great version of the ninth! I will be downloading Mr. Haitink's other works very soon. Highly recommended!

a fine recording

musicmoggy

My only other recordings of the 9 is 20 years old. This version certainly has the edge for crispness and clarity.
