The best live show I've ever seen
C.R. is an not only a powerful poet but amazing showman playing key-tar, harmonica, beat-boxing and singing all at the same time! There are certain tracks on the album that are amazingly beautiful. I recommend "News Travels Fast," "Disclosure", "Door By the River" and "Chain Smoking" and if they come by your town see them at any price.
Straightforward
I accidently downloaded the whole album instead of the free track, so consider just from that how unreliable my judgement may be. Album is a bit uneven -I would just as soon avoid Madison 22, Bill Hicks, Commercial Drive or Pocket Knife but like a number of the tracks like Eye of the Storm or When I'm Gone which in my mind are simple American (slightly country/folk tinged) rock. So although not my usual cup of tea, I have downloaded worse albums here at eMusic. Like the secondary female vocal and piano when present.
