SURE ITS NOT PUNK, BUT.....

solcon79

It still is a great collection for the price ( FREE) and some of the tracks are really good. Sure there are a couple of weak tracks, but my advice: Hit download all and weed out the weak tracks later.

Knock, Knock...Anyone Home?

slippeddisc

If the folks who only listened to the first 2 or 3 clips would have spent more time listening than writing bad, uninformed reviews they might not be quite so upset about getting, something they don't like, for nothing. Many times it is difficult to classify a collection album such as this under the umbrella of one genre. For those with a bit more ADHD than others, take deep breath, go to the 4th or 5th or even 9th song before leaping to a conclusion. That said, I'm quite pleased with it. Worth every penney.

Warning: Not Punk

slmstanley

Some good songs, if you like a country/folk vibe (and the price is certainly right), but absolutely NOT punk music.

Are You Drawn Like A Magnet to Genres?

MrFike

Who really cares if it's C&W, Alt/Punk, Alt-Country, Alternative or pop? Whatever. Good free music. Lots of stuff you're gonna listen to. It's free. Get over your classifying obsession. Oh yeah, turn out the lights again, and check the faucet.

Ugh. D:

Nozomi

Well, I guess it is original. But definately not something I like. It actually made me laugh, because I listen to punk and this was definately not what I was expecting. It could be good, if I liked country. It's not bad, but not my taste.

Q.U.A.L.I.T.Y.

FREE? Incredible. This is a great album overall. Sure, there are a couple of duff tracks but most are great. There are varying styles, but rather than randomly spreading things out, the album seems to gather pace and amplitude, starting quiet, ending noisy. Reminds me of some of my treasured Tooth & Nail samplers. Sweet.

Good Stuff

anythingwithheart

suburan home is a great label. it is labeled alternative/punk, because the label used to put out mostly punk bands. they have kind of spread out and have begun to just put out really good music. suburban home truly has a great, and diverse musical line up.

Lots of styles here

Honest

This album covers a lot of ground. It starts out alt country, moves to something I'd call hard country, throws in some punk (examples: High & Outside, I'll Confess) and some indie rock, and includes stuff that isn't so easily defined. With that in mind, listen to the snippets before you choose, especially if your tastes are limited to a single genre.

Yeah 'Drag' is the epitome

Wakazawaka

....of alt country.....it's listed under "alternative/punk".... that's for all the people who frequently get 'reading' confused with 'listening'....get a clue folks....

This is Country & Western

slacy

This is surely not "Punk" music. Its Country & Western. That said, its not horrible.
