Great sound!!!!

I don't love all the songs but for a live recording the sound quality is very high. Blessid union of souls, for example, sound like they're in the room with you. If you like the bands on this album download it!

Got Live... If You Want It...

Dvoodoo

To anyone expecting more than a live recording, you are obviously not aware what a live album is. This does not feature a Jayhawks recording labored over by Bob Ezrin or Rick Rubin, it's a live multitrack radio show, with a band's fragility intact. Wilco sounds just like they did when I saw 'em live in this era, and there's nothing to complain about in my opinion. In fact be sure to check out all the Mountain Stage releases on Emusic because it's some of the only releases you'll get traditionally major label artists making DRM free Emusic appearances including REM, Ben Harper, Shelby Lynn, Counting Crows etc.

Great Music - Bad Sound

I really looked forward to hearing this CD. The list of artists and the songs seemed to be a great find. However, the recording is terrible. It sounds like someone from the audience held up a mike and taped it on a portable recorder. Don't waste your downloads.

They Say All Music Guide

One of the best releases in the Live From Mountain Stage series, this “rock” volume is more specifically an alternative country-rock outing; among the highlights are Wilco’s “I Must Be High,” the Bottle Rockets’ poignant “Welfare Music” and the Jayhawks’ transcendent “Blue.” – Jason Ankeny
