Not bad...
...but I liked "Lilies" better.

This is bland. If you like Boards of Canada, my guess is you think you might like this...but you won't. BORING!
With only five albums and a handful of EPs and even some 7-inchers, Berlin-based Uwe Zahn, signed off from producing music altogether, with the last track on Lilies (City Centre Offices, 2004), titled Good Bye Forever. But Arovane's music doesn't age. In fact, it is one of those rare occurrences where it gets better and better as time passes. Today, as part of my Nostalgic Flashbacks series, I wish to revisit Zahn's sophomore album on City Centre Offices, released in the summer of 2000, titled Tides. my favorite arovane cd's. good to see it up on emusic.
One of the standout albums of the wider electronica genre. Tides is just infinitely inventive without ever sacrificing its core musicality.
Yeah, this album came and wiped out my last 9 downloads for the month. This is some cosmic easy listening that will have you looking for the nearest beach or field to lay down in and admire the stars and moon. Beautiful listening.
Picture yourself lying on a hillside around 11 or 12 at night out in the country just looking at the sky. No lights, no busy streets, no distracting noises. Just peace. Stellar.
