Hagelo Usted Mismo

elmilo

They are back! Although this a good album of Los Tres there is more to them than Hagalo Usted Mismo. They have at least 8 albums. La Espada y la Pared is probably one of their most well known ones. It is also worth listening to Los Petinnellis, a band that was formed during a break up of Los Tres. Los Tres became more known outside Southamerica after Cafe Tacuba released a very short but excellent album with covers of Los Tres called Vale Callampa. They are undoubtfully an excellent band.

They Say All Media Guide

The long-running Chilean rock band Los Tres is not only not broken up, it’s making some of the best music of its career. Hagalo Usted Mismo, or “Do It Yourself,” was recorded in New York and sounds like it: influences from Nirvana to the Beach Boys and everywhere in between break the surface early and often, and they’re helped along by the flawless production of Clash-producer Joe Blaney. First single “Camino” bumps along to a boundary-free rockabilly beat, while the broken-hearted but beautiful sounding “Agua Bendita” adheres to a more traditional Chilean vibe. The disc is short — ten tracks only, none especially epic — but Los Tres makes every song count. Café Tacuba’s Emmanuel del Real pitched in on several tracks, both as a musician and mixer. – Tammy La Gorce
