A nice freebie

Being a fan of Shawn Lee before Bully came out, I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when his name came up in the credits of the videogame. Having the soundtrack of that game for free is even better. Not sure what bug crawled up AEIOUandmaybeY's @ss, but that is what can be expected by anybody that would complain about free stuff. If you don't like it, don't download it, idiot.

Vowel guy got it wrong. Good instrumentals, and you can't beat the price!

Pick a consonant, because that vowel guy is wrong.

The music in BULLY does an exceptional job of keeping the tone of the game light and exciting; it's some of the best game music around, and particularly accomplished considering its interactivity with the current condition in-game. This feature is not found in the other games which use the same engine, i.e. the GTA III-era games from Rockstar, so it's surprising that they went with an interactive score rather than a plethora of licensed tracks as GTA did. Lee's soundtrack instantly takes me back to many pleasant days on the run from Bulworth's overbearing prefects.

Great "transition' tracks

DaddyKevin

If you, like me, have thousands of songs on your mp3 player, that you listen to on random shuffle, this is a great album to download and add. Nice short songs that play at random between your other selections. One at a time, these songs are terrific. Can't imagine I'd ever want to sit down and listen to it end to end, however.

HUH?

AEIOUandmaybeY

This is a soundtrack to a video game, plain and simple. It was a crappy video game that was rushed to store shelves because people needed a Grand Theft Auto for kids. Hence this soundtrack. Sounds like every Sonic the Hedgehog game. Nothing special...unless you ARE "special."

I downloaded 'Lowrider' and 'School's Out'. Lowrider sounds like the theme to some wild Batmandish type Saturday morning cartoon. It's just fun to listen to. On the other hand School's Out is... well let's just say you can feel the freedom! I wish I could sample it, loop it, remix it, and make it a 25+ min. song so I could listen to it everyday on my drive home from work. I think I'd be in a real good mood by the time I pulled in the drive. This is good stuff! Keep it up(please).

Quite an interesting and diverse mix, yet it stays grounded with production techniques. A bit of funk and soul with some bizaare instumentation to boot. Fun stuff.

Smarter than you think

Those who know about this stuff will know just how great this is. Soundtrack music like this requires talent, an ear for music/film history, and an instinct for what "works". Shawn Lee (sole credit here, from what I can see) is gifted with all of the above. Also the composer is at the mercy of the producer / director / designer, so he or she must also be a master negotiator and/or compromiser. Sounds like Lee did not have to compromise tha much. Get while it's free!

Reminds me of a Roland synth.

slacy

This music reminds me of listening to the output of a Roland synth from the 80's, and thats not a good thing. This disc is absolutely horrible. Thankfully, I didn't have to spend any downloads on it.

Just wish the songs were longer because they are so wonderful.
