Bondi Chill is Masterful, Superbly Crafted
What a find! I love this album - all the tracks are masterful, superbly crafted and engaging. I know it's Chill Out, yet there is a real vibrancy here running throughout, evoking for me a celebration of life. The style is hard to categorize: from the Progressive House/World Fusion of Kali to almost Ambient Downtempo of the Erik Satie inspired SpringTIme. Despite the seeming diversity, the album holds together brilliantly as a whole. The depth of the production also ensures that Bondi Chill, unlike much of the genre of “Chill Out”, sounds as fresh as ever no matter how many times you listen to it. Lastly, one cannot fail to mention that “hauntingly beautiful Bulgarian flute” Really, really good. 5 stars!
