Primal mysticism with cinematic overtones.

I first encountered "Mystical Sun" on some Interchill compilations, and later at the BLUEMARS Music for Space Travellers site. This in turn, lead me to Waveform Record's 4 A. D. compilations. After these cursory listening experiences, I decided to add Mystical to my electronic library. The first-cut on this CD (2012): is a blistering, plugged-in, jazz-ambient, tour-de-force. 'Deeperworlds' moves from mysticism, to tribalistic beats, then back to some electronic dub/funk, with emphasized rhythmic wizardry. Mystical's sound acts as an aural catharsis, whereby realization of the ride is vastly more important than the final destination. Quality becomes evident with each new listen. "Blue Magnetic Ocean", and "Innerworld" were program stand-outs for me. These tracks would gel with artists like: Hooverphonic, Bluetech, Aes Dana, and Adham Shaik on a playlist. Recommended.

i am really trying to find the mystical sun album titled primordial atmospheres. i have it on tape but that puppy is corrupt. any ideas? i've tried amazon, ebay even mystical suns website! nothing.

Been listening now for more than a year and the album still has new sections I didn't notice before. To those above this reviews saying this is not ambient, they are just wrong. Yes, there some tracks with grooves. That's called "Ambient Groove" and it's a genre look it up! The following songs on the album are completely beatless: Ceremony Dragonfly River Goddess Waters of Life Antediluvian... -->The reviewers "quinnox" & "Grillo" don't have any Mystical Sun purchases in their account, so they are reviewing previews.

Great album! Download now and chill. First track '2012' is great opening track IMHO together with a suitable old school/hiphop beat (displayed towards end of 30sec clip), which trust me, isn't a bad thing. Definitely uplifting opening to this album. Quality is higher than normal (200-320kbps) and it shows!
