The One to Have
I own (and adore) the entire Avett Bros. catalog, but this gem of an EP is the one I come back to time and time again. A great introduction to the band.
We’re sorry. This album is unavailable for download in your country (United States) at this time.

Awesome song along with almost everything else here. This was my introduction to the band, and now I must own all of their work.
Gleam is the calm before the storm. If you have never heard The Avett Brothers before, then listen to the album Four Thieves Gone. That album is more true to their "renegade bluegrass" form. On 4 thieves you will hear Scott Avett rock the banjo like you have never heard before. The opening track - A Talk on Indolence - demonstrates the frenetic energy that makes the Avett Brothers amazing performers. On Gleam, you will hear the brothers' ability to create engaging melodies with their everyman voices. You will also hear the authenticity that permeates every Avett Brothers song. "When I drink" and "It's the Beaches" are highlights of this EP. These guys will quickly become one of your favorites, especially if you see them live.
