Brian Hanke has done me a nice favor in putting these movements into piano form. The long Allegretto from the 7th symphony, in particular, has lodged itself firmly in my head (and I eventually realized that I'd heard it before, superimposed on "Tea for Two," fittingly enough, in Schickele's 'Unbegun' Symphony). I confess, I don't listen to symphonies much, so the music was a fresh treat, and the pianistic guise works splendidly -- percussionistic and emphatic.
