TERRIFIC

This is not just a live rehashing of his studio material. There is a lot of thought and creativity in each interpretation. But I wonder if Mr. Dolby is capable of doing anything without thought and creativity. The vocals are spot on, and the musicianship is first caliber. Not self-indulgent riffing, just great sound choices and great playing. Alternative chord changes and elaborated rhythms make the songs just unfamiliar enough to feel fresh and intriguing. Like seeing old friends in new places.

A great live album

I stumbled across this while trying to find an earlier album of his. It's a great collection, and not just carbon copies of the album versions of the songs, like some live albums can be. As a matter of fact, I think I need to put this album on rotation in my car stereo...

i love thomas dolby's work in general, but didn't really like these live versions of his songs. seems like there's some energy missing.

thomas dolby's voice sounds great here. the songs have a reinterpreted feel, a little mellower, more sweet, and employing the tools of contemporary electronic music, so they're less dated-sounding. this seems like it was an amazing show.

If you like Thomas Dolby, don't spend any time debating if you should download this one or not. TD sounds great, the sound quality is excellent and you won't be disappointed with the arrangements either. One of the best I've found on emusic.

This was a classic tour for Dolby. This was the 3rd time I've seen him, and each was different - and excellent! This CD really captures the show. If you are considering the download, wait no further. This is top-shelf in song quality and sound quality.

I think I make music partially because of a day where a goof ball friend of mine brought "Blinded by Science" into my 6th grade science class. Made quite an impression on me. This album is a welcomed reminder to what I dug about the Dolby. Really fun. I hope the rest of his catalogue becomes available.
