INDIE BAND MAKES BEAUTIFUL/COMPLEX EP
NAKATOMI PLAZA have been around for a bit, and I always dug their stuff, but this new thing is amazing. I guess the first 2 songs are going to be on their full length "Unsettled", produced by J. Robbins, but the other 3 songs are new. Don't let the demo next to the title fool you, these songs are awesome, acoustic/piano numbers that must be amazing with full band. Their complex instrumentation and amazing boy/girl vocal trade off are really beautiful. Reminds me of Pretty Girls Make Graves meets Jawbox, really great underappreciated band. The full length is coming out soon I think, but listen to these songs to get ready for what will be one of the best records of the year.
