Twenty years on, these tracks still sound fresh and pure indy. Springtime and Gargoyle hold a special place in my heart, but don't miss the fun of Bad Mood and Mr Wicked. Having access to a double album of these talented people after all this time is fantastic, and I'm grateful to whomever organised it.
Tinged with country, melancholy and with a great big dash of pop, this double CD contains lots of gems. The Lighthouse Keepers were big in Australia in the 1980s, rightfully flogged to death on alternative community radio. Best songs are Ocean Liner, Seven Years, Springtime - but by far, the stand out hit is Gargoyle - poignant and beautiful.
