TPC made a slower, acoustic mix of Citizens of Tomorrow, and I think from that they found that they could do more than short and sweet. This is a great showing of both continuation of their style with the addition of a ballad with Lesson in Crime. The simple melody and bare vocals are really powerful and the grainy quality of the sound creates an amazing intimacy.
In their new LP, Tokyo Police Club manage to convey that not only are they no flash-in-the-pan, but their new album should be one of the best releases of 2007 (asuming they get around to it by the end of the year! Those lazy asian cops...)
