This young lady's voice is incredible - she doesn't sing, so much as wield words like an guitarist wields phrases. O Holy Night for me was an uncoverable song, after Nat King Cole, but not any more. Quite possibly the best find of 2009, for me at any rate. Go get yourself some, yeah?
Ms Crowe's voices take you higher then the space shuttle. Although Hallelujah takes all the belief of a higher source, down to earth. Only Cohen could inspire us to rethink our God, as Allison does on Tidings.
Crowe's interpretation of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah is vibrant and powerful. A must.
