Rumors Laid Waste is a cd compiled of different singles from random releases from early in the band's career, and believe me, a good majority of these songs sound nothing like The Blood Brothers you may be accustomed to from Burn Piano Island or Crimes. The typical Johnny Whitney voice you'd be accustomed to hearing is nonexistent save for a portion of the cd. The rest of the album is utterly high-pitched wails, moans, and shrieks that will make you wonder: "wtf is wrong with these kids" and may even make you turn it off. That's why this cd can only be enjoyed by serious Blood Brothers fans. It's interesting to look back and see how different these guys were back then but to also see their roots, how they started out and how they'd later develop into the national sensation they later became.
