Gorgeous new version of this classic film score
This isn't the 1982 album but the 2005 "revisited" version, though for once none the worse for that. Even the 1982 version wasn't the film soundtrack but a selection of substantially rearranged studio versions, and this rerecording restores one of the numerous missing pieces from the film that weren't on the 1982 album (as a new section to Chasing Sheep). Note that these are the same recordings as on the Nyman/Greenaway Revisited album, but the versions on The Essential Michael Nyman Band (not on eMusic) are different again; there's also a further version of the new arrangement of Chasing Sheep on the Nyman Brass album. It loses a star for missing the final track, though you can make up with the Purcell original (The Plaint, aka O Let Me Weep, from The Fairy Queen - check out the paired versions by Sarah Pillow).
