Literally: what The Meters sound like with vocals
I have emusic, I know how it goes, so first things first, download these three songs: A Love Was Born. Can You Hear Me. Get Out Of My Life Woman. If you are a person who enjoys music at all then you'll end up downloading more from not only this album, but you'll be looking for everything Lee Dorsey has put his voice on. And what a voice, loose as can be, holding the mic stand as casually as a cigarette. What really stands out though is the arrangements, I don't know of anybody who was structuring R&B songs like this even now.
