Mind Blowing Vocals

rowleyj

This is just a great album. I don't typically listen to metal for the vocals alone, but kamelot's singer is very talented and fits the music perfectly. This is metal at it's best, melodic and brutal at the same time.

Excellent

Good grief. This is immense. Found this by listening to Epica and thought I would give it a try. I won't bore you, just download track 4 'Soul Society' and make up your own mind!

Symphometal

Guitarrock

I saw these guys live and own 2 CDs and lemme tell ya they are the real stuff. This is really original symphonic metal with very well crafted songs all fitting well within an opera centered concept (Faust by Goethe for the literate in you). Youngblood`s guitar technique will never buy him a ticket to the shreddodrome but Kamelot is truly a band without any stand-out member. Enjoy

One of the best albums to be found on emusic

ArthurC

The production values on this album are superb, much better than most of the music found on emusic. While I would have liked a bit more variance in the music on this album, you can't deny how strongly every song is constructed and performed. These guys are perfectionists, and it shows.

Magnificent

MrFribbles

This is top drawer stuff... download immediately. Every song is magnificent, but perhaps more importantly the album feels like a complete and coherent whole. Khan is so good that it almost defies belief; I was actually half convinced that some of his vocal shenanigans were the result of studio trickery, but listening to their live album (One Cold Winter's Night) made me realise that it's more sheer natural talent than anything else. This is one of the finest albums you'll find here or anywhere. I loved it so much that I also bought the CD.

Unbelievable

Metallifer

This may be the best CD I have ever listened to. Every song is solid. If you ever liked anything about Queensryche, you will love this. The musicianship in over the top and Roy Khan has the strongest vocal presense I can remember. I have been listening to all sorts of metal for over 25 years and this really is that good.

Diamond in the Rough

WombatYenko

It's tough to find well-executed progressive metal with such fantastic vocals. This group puts it all together without going over the top like some other progressive groups have. I very highly recommend this album. I just wish more of their CDs were available for download on eMusic.

BLOW YOUR MIND

PsychotiKlysm

This is such a kool band. I was going crazy trying to find a decent group and stumbled upon kamelot. I always look into groups if the band name catches my attention and to be honest kamelot didnt really- but I was in desperation.I took the time to listen and realized that this is one of the best groups I've heard on EMusic so far. Totally check it out, A major group to downlaod.

Masterpiece

easily one of if not the best album of 2005 in my mind. Unsurpassed talent, with songwriting you just don't see much of these days. Highest possible recommendation...
