One of the strong points of the Ayler label is that it often features work by excellent free jazz or improv players with little to no profile in this country. Michael Thieke is a German reed player, mainly clarinet, based in Berlin, who leads this trio in heady but emotional chanber jazz. This is great stuff and worthy of your attention.
