Not really my thing
She's a combination of Bjork, Tori Amos and Yoko Ono, but that's cool. If you want to get the ambience of her live show, have a friend insult you between songs.

I and the audience I saw her with opening for morrissey in san francisco seemed, like gmu599 and hers, to quickly tire of her. But I was taken with her show right away: just Little Jeff on drums, her on keyboard, and that voice! I had never heard her or of her, and feared that non-live she may not come across as brutal and powerful, and I am pleasantly surprised. There's a Kate Bush to her as well as Bjork. At least as promising I would say. All the more if she is American, I love her!
I just listening to this record, and I must say that I'm quite surprised. I saw Kristeen live when she opened for Morrissey this past Saturday in Austin. I was, along with the rest of the crowd, quickly bored with her. In fairness to her though, Morrissey fans are pretty rabid and I think we were all just eager to see him play. Anyway, I thought she showed some promise so I downloaded her album. It's a fun listen and it made for some nice background music to listen to while I made dinner. I would say if you like Bjork's voice and Morrissey's depressing lyrics (and you have some extra eMusic downloads to burn!!), give this a try.
