Keeps me interested

DubDance

This is a slick, bright production of some deep dubby electronica, some very interesting stuff here. Some slower trippier stuff like REM, some very up there with the best dub beats, try the title track with Leftfield collaborator Cheshire Cat on vocals, as he is on the excellent, faster Beat Da Drum Gringo.

One of the best modern dub albums of 2007. A very refreshing style, and very nice dubz and nice sparce root vocals and lyrics .Very psychdelic in a way. I recomment it . Andy RETINAFUNK

Oh Yeah!

NoFace

Definitely one of the better dub/reggae releases out there. From the skittery percussion of 'Imaginary World', the smokey dubbed out basslines of 'While the Music Plays', the filtered dancehall vocals on 'Essential Credential' to the atmospheric, laidback beats of 'R.E.M.', this album has it all. For the dub natty dread in all of us. No doubt...enjoy!

Repeated listens will pay handsomely.

Walkin' Target is completely unique and at the same time familiar with sounds and elements that evoke the best moments of Laswell dubs (esp Silent Recoil & Sacred System), Sly & Robbies' 'Strip to the Bone' (a landmark album for me) and the overall aesthetic of UK electronic dub. A fluid listen from beginning to end with all tracks contributing equally to the whole. That being said there are always standout tracks and for me those are 'Sun Shines On You' and 'Beat Da Drum Gringo'. Also of notable mention is the radical vocal manipulation in 'Essential Credential' = Very inspiring!
