soundtrack to childhood
Anyone living in the UK and over the age of 40 cannot fail to have heard at least one piece of music composed by Vernon Elliot. Virtually the house composer of Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate(RIP)animation studio 'Smallfilms' , soundtracking their shows perfectly, complimenting and in fact being a part the action(if that is the right word), not just background noise. So wonderful and evocative is this release it's almost like a radio show that you can immerse yourself in and Mr.Postgate's narration just sends me back to a much happier time. It sounded great then and does now. Totally dreamy.
