"not as creative" - yes. but raw, and intense. Circling the Drain, Reset the Ride, Police, Litany - amazing songs. This is a collection of early demos and 7"s (at which FU are exhaustingly prolific at releasing). You can hear the Black Flag in Hidden World as in influence; with these songs, the stay closer to that formula. The urgency and anger of these - balanced with perspective and intelligence - will bowl any punk over with jubilation. If you love Hidden World, i offer this as the perfect companion piece.
