Far be it from me to look a gift horse in the mouth, but like a sucker I download every free compilation eMusic makes available, and usually they simply waste space on my hard drive. This one doesn't! Nothing life-changing, but Elk City, Asobi Seksu, the Old Soul and Faunts are worth your time.
This is the best collection of free tracks I've found on eMusic. Download it while it's free. There are zero songs on here I don't at least like, and a few I love. At least get the Elk City tracks. Also the Asobi Seksu tracks. David is also very good, if a bit reminiscent of Bright Eyes. Looks like I'll have to be checking out Friendly Fire now... Oh, by the way, "David" is actually David & the Citizens, a Swedish band, not the Jewish-traditional band linked to on eMusic.
