Bolstered by an excellent soundtrack, The Chicas Project has been one of the bright spots in on NBC/Telemundo's bilingual network mun2. Collected here are the finest clips featured during the first season, comprising a veritable who's who of Hispanic artists that have found fame in America: Pacha Massive, Andrea Echeverri, Aterciopelados, Nortec Collective. It's the Pinker Tones, though, that are responsible for the scratch- and kitsch-tastic hip-hop theme song “Karma Hunters” and relative newcomers Cuarto Poder that come up with the disc's upbeat highlight, and opener, “Arenita Playita.” Poder craft the type of undeniable lite-reggae beat that should tide listeners over during the wait for season two.
