smoke and mirrors
The rest of LP is good, but "smoke and mirrors" rocks like an a MF and is recommended!

Truly impressive debut by an Australian quartet with diverse arrangements, strong songwriting, and guitar and vocal chops. Many of the songs are guitar-heavy power pop, in the vein of Teenage Fanclub and the Posies. The vocal harmonies on "Burning Brighter" and "Moth and Rust" will appeal to fans of the New Pornographers. There's even a touch of shoegaze in "Until It's Gone". Grand Atlantic's roots go back to Pet Sounds and Revolver: "Chaos Theory" reminds me of "Rain", and the closer, "Peace Be with You", is a teenage symphony that would bring a tear to Brian Wilson's eye. One of the best new records I've heard in 2007.
