No Wonder It Is Free!
I figured I would try something new since it was free but I could not find anything here that appealed to me. I will stick with the old stuff that I am familiar with.

Nice little sampler for free. The GRAND:PM tracks are the best thing here, they remind me a little of The Format just write damn fine quality pop songs. Burnthe8track sound a bit like Green Day - the rest is fairly forgettable.
Wasn't sure what to expect, but this is a solid EP. Smart, catchy pop with Grand:PM, and the Tom Taylor tune is folksy/rock without being morose. The Burnthe8track tune is solid, as is the rest of this short album.
One generally assumes that a label would put the best songs from its best bands on a sampler meant to promote the label. Please God, let it not be the case for this comp. If I was younger, I might buy one of these bands' albums. But only if I went to high school with them. Actually, I'd probably have to have at least one class with them to really feel bad about skipping this load of rehashed spittle.
This is definitely one of the better free samplers offered on emusic. If nothing else, download the GRAND:PM songs, because they are fantastic!
