One of the better reggae comps on emusic
This is a pretty solid compilation containing some cuts found on other well-known comps (particularly those found on the fantastic Soul Jazz label), while other tunes are not as well known. A highlight is Donovan Carless' brilliant version of the '72 soul track (and '91 Massive Attack hit) "Be Thankful." Also, the ever-soulful (and recently deceased) Alton Ellis is well-represented here by one of his -- in my opinion -- most achingly beautiful tunes.
