Not an oxymoron
An EP arriving 5 months after their Scribble Mural Comic Journal, this one is a bit smoother, leaning more toward the Slowdive spectrum of their sound, where the SMCJ leaned more toward My Bloody Valentine. Throw in Robin and Lauren's Liz Fraser-esque vocal style, and you get some idea of the pleasures here Hard to go wrong with those influences if properly handled, and they are. This is what I WISH Cocteau Twins sounded like, what I always go back to CT hoping I'll find, and what I'm always disappointed to remember that they NEVER sounded like. Yeah, really.
