Fantastic musicians!
There are many fine musicians who excel at one genre or another, but I don't know another violinist with such complete mastery in multiple genres. The traditional gypsy music is fantastic, but then the ensemble steps sideways into Charles Trenet (french chansonier) and Michel Legrand, not to mention the great jazz playing on the Django number. A truly enjoyable album, worthy of repeated listenings. Oh yes - Lakatos has probably the world's most impressive spiccato - keep your ears peeled.
