Some strong songs here
First six songs are excellent and were part of their live show for half a decade ... a long time for the mighty FALL

This is definitely in the second tier of Fall albums, but it's still a great listen. Brix returned to the Fall for this one and the equally underrated Light User Syndrome. Then I guess she came to her senses and left again. Her influence is all over these two albums: "Don't Call Me Darling" is a standout track with some fierce singing from the former Mrs. Smith. "Feeling Numb" is another favorite here. This isn't a mind-blowing Fall album, but it's still a fine collection of tunes. If you took the best off this one and the best off Light User Syndrome, you'd have a masterpiece.
For some unknown reason I never got this album (it will obviously be one of my next downloads here on eMusic --- and I'm delighted to see it here). Maybe it's just that The Fall are so damned prolific. Anyway, I did hear it years ago and still remembered how impressed I was with certain songs --- especially "I'm Not Satisfied". Outside of certain bootleg sounding live albums, ALL Fall albums are highly recommended --- if in doubt, simply listen to a few sound samples and it will be quite obvious which releases to avoid. There aren't many in that catagory though. Viva la Fall.
