My friends love this.
I own a hard copy of this album, and certainly do not regret the purchase. The person initally suggesting the purchase to me is by now a rather well-known industrial/noise DJ in Los Angeles. He said it's a must, and it's his favorite noise album. Ok, I bought it, of course. I wasn't disappointed, but not fully impressed. I in turn loaned it to a similarly long-standing industrial afficionado, who also loved it. In short, I see the intricate complexities of the compositions, but only a few tracks offer either the noise harshness or the melodic, alienated dread that I've come to seek here. For a novice or a pro who is not familiar with this release, I'd recommend hearing soundbites before downloading tracks, and certainly before downloading the whole album. It's clever stuff, and despite rarely blasting the album, I still give it 4 out of 5 stars for art direction, and vision in general. IDM enthusiasts will also find this release intriguing.
