Fell in love....almost

*musica*

Read all about all the reviews, i can agree, but it's music is growing on me. Love all the tracks except tracks12 and 13. I don't think it's adding to the atmosphere of the album au contraire. For this faux pas i will give this a 4 and half star.

Infectious

I agree with errance in that I, too, prefer the older works, but dang this album is addictive. It's very much downtempo compared to all their other works, and if Brian Eno didn't have anything to do with this, it sure has his signature atmospheric ambience and textures. This album is slowly becoming my favourite of them all. Better to listen to this in complete darkness with a lit candle.

Don't write this off as just pop

Ady_H

Yes, this is much more commerical than previous outings, but there are some classy tracks here. Selectively download some tracks and you may think they resemble Saint Etienne. Try tracks 2,3,4,8 and 11 for starters.

I miss the original Bel Canto

errance

Bel Canto's first couple CDs were so perfect. Unfortunately, things went downhill starting with Magic Box. This is a continuation down that trail of cheap pop. Early Days Bel Canto, I miss you so much...
