Quality pop indie folk
I like a lot of different music - downtempo, indie rock, electronica, classic hard rock, new wave, progressive folk, space rock, post-rock, etc... - but at the end of the day, out of just about all of it this band's music makes me feel the happiest. It's unfortunate that the genre these guys play in (what I might characterize as equal parts folk, pop, and rock) really has no outlet anymore. If the genre could still attract like the late 1960s, this band would be as big as the Beatles. These are just wonderful songs. The whole disc is a highlight, but if I had to single out specific tracks, it would be: The A470 Song, Siberia, I'll Be Happy, I'll Be Sleeping, and Eyes. If Eyes doesn't want to make you run outside, dance and hug everyone around you then you take yourself way too serious.
