I recommend tracks 1,2,5,7, and 10 from the first disc, though all the songs are pretty good. This collection represents some of the best unpretentious hip-hop I've ever heard.

Don't hesitate, meditate

What a groovy blend of beats from a musical visionary. I ran out of downloads so I'll have to jam on Disc 1 for a month before I can get Disc 2's rarities and remixes... But I guarantee, a month from now this will still be in my Top Plays. This is classic hip-hop, friends.

This guy has morphed into a larger-than-life legend since his death because now people finally seeking out and finding his vast body of work. This guy has made one hell of an impact on neo-soul and hip-hop production. This is an awesome find simply becaause it gives us more Dilla for the collection. This is a DL MUST for any Dilla fan.

This is back when you didn't really know who Dilla was. Its great to go back and listen to some hidden Gems, although you'll find that they we'ren't too hard to find; most of the stand out tracks on Labcabincalifornia were produced by Dilla. What a producer. She says, remix is CLASSIC!

He emerged in the late '00s as one of a long line of laptop-IDM producers with a J Dilla fixation. But 2008's Lemurian, his first release of note, is… more »
