Happier the Man
If you fondly remember Happy the Man, you'll love Oblivion Sun. Because guitarist/vocalist Stanley Whitaker and keyboard/saxman Frank Wyatt have taken their cherished old prog rock group and revived it here. That is both the best thing about Oblivion Sun and its possible weakness - it follows the Happy the Man formula religiously to the very last note. On the other hand, several new pieces from their recent great performance at NearFest with two new members point in a fresh new direction for their next album.
