Moving Melodies. Heavenly Harmonies.

CameronLee

In the first track, New Years, it brings me almost to tears every time Darcie sings: "and somewhere in the world, the sun is rising! It's rising!" Her voice is angelic and personal, creating an intimate atmosphere that, though sometimes sad, makes you feel like everything's ok. Adam's voice is an ideal match. The couple blend perfectly as they take turns with the melodies and harmonies. The backing vocals are complex and soothing, and often surprisingly beautiful. All of it's on top of warm guitar tones with reverb that reaches to my soul. 2 Cities starts off with Darcie's voice highlighted just by a hollow banjo -showing that she can sing over anything and it still comes out like smooth, rich chocolate for the ears. The other highlight is Take Them All Away, which belongs in the soundtrack to some romantic comedy- in the best way.
