In It for the Music
This is the sophomore album from the San Francisco trio. It's bass, piano, and drums only. No guitar, no vocals (unless you count Charles Bukowski on Something About the Audience). For me, an instrumental band has to have the chops and the imagination to keep you interested, and this band has both in spades. The standout track is Blood Music, but you also shouldn't miss the aforementioned Something About the Audience and Parking Ticket Patriot, which is actually my favorite track. It's right up there with their previous single Midnight Shakes the Memory, which I also highly recommend.
