Delicious & Smokey
The last year has seen some delightful and intriguing duos i.e. Alison Krause and Robert Plant, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, etc. Ain't Betty's pairing of Meleva Barbula and Graham Sobelman on "This Ain't Betty" definitely deserves to be up there with the best of them. Silky vocals, sweet harmonies, superb arrangements and top flight musicianship all contribute to making this a must-have. Although dropped in the "Country/Folk" genre, this album has a layer of sophistication that defies category. I can't believe this isn't a major label release!
