A sweet reprieve
I've been getting caught up with some 2007 albums this week, and my explorations have involved a lot of slogging through mediocre albums to find that one song worth downloading. It's great to end the week on a high note, with an album whose every song is worth downloading. This is gorgeous sunshine pop -- a bit Beach Boys, a bit B&S, very Heavy Blinkers. I know I've heard dozens of bands with a similar sound, but the Bank Holidays manage to make it very, very fresh. Don't let their drab name and cover art fool you -- these guys are pure technicolor.
