Mostly forgettable, but...
Don't miss "Reciprocity."
Don't miss "Reciprocity."
Me mate and i have been wanting this for years, personal favourite is reciprocity, excoriating account of a broken relationship. "You'd need a chair and a whip, to control their relationship .... Thanks again
This early Loudon is rough when compared with his later works but here we can see his talent as it developed. This guy is great! Over the years he has recorded more than a dozen albums with some of the best story telling around. For one of his best, IMHO, try "History" though most every album will please. Also, try "More Love Songs" which includes the timeless number, "The Acid Song".
I guess everyone is different, but for me, T Shirt was the most influenial album of my life. I patterned a musical style loosely based on Loudon's songwriting skills and humour. To this day, almost everything I do and play can find roots back to this album. Sure, I know this album in not the most complex and sophisticated of albums out there, but it only proves that great lyrics and a simple melody can survive a lifetime. Any fool can make it complicated, but it takes real genius to keep it simple!! So, this is "must download" for anyone likes witty, basic good songwriting. This album will live on within me forever!!!
