Will if ya knew the history of the label

lelekbd

...you'd know that Suburban Home started off as a punk label. That being said, this is a great step for that label. A lot of you are right: this is NOT straight forward Alt Country- but rather a good mix of former punks and pop punk kids growin' up. Honestly? It's like alot of these kids got older, got married, but maybe not wiser. But, they tapped the spirit of Paul Westerberg and the Replacements. (hey, the 'Mats were once punk too.) However, dont expect Drive By Truckers but more Lucero, which aint too bad. But THAT was in regards to this being labled "Alt Country"... The label still firmly has their roots in punk and pop punk as the other tracks here obviously show... but if you like Lucero or the Replacements you will enjoy some tracks on here... now that i fluffed that up, i'm happy to see the label growing.

Great Album Cover

Bizarrojack

It's especially appropriate, considering these guys are right up there with Michael Bolton

Track 13?

FZ1

If track 13 is country, then the Judds are Death Metal.

Not really alt-country, but it is free...

Cman

Only a handful of tunes could loosely qualify as alt-country, as overall, its more of a power pop collection (with a few tunes bordering on emo). Still, there's some decent stuff here and worth a listen, considering it's only going to cost you the time to download.

Love the cover

wayno52

I just love the album cover. If you don't get it, just watch Office Space - now.

Mis-tagged

ruadork

Tracks 13 & 14 definitely are not alt-country. Others probably aren't, also, but I just listed to 13 & 14 and did not get what I expected.
