I stumbled across Mitchell's music through another site and became an instant enthusiast. He knows how to write a melody with the best of them and, as satisfying, knows how to develop it. I would imagine that people who enjoy Barber, Copland, Bernstein, John Rutter, Vaughan Williams and Blitzstein would also respond warmly to this.
