Great little album
Quirky, witty and woozy covers that work beautifully. It bears up to repeated listenings really well.

Bowie's "Pinups" showed that an album of covers can transcend the originals. "Lights down low" is similar in that it allows an artist with a unique voice to put her own spin on several excellent songs. Doyle's voice is intimate and subtle and probes parts of these songs that were not revealed in the original hits. The arrangements are great as well--supportive and not overwhelming. Great emusic download!
